US Sojourns & Women’s Wilderness Retreats

Like many of you, we believe in exploring our ‘backyard’ and seeing the magnificence that the US has to offer.

Exploring national parks on guided hikes through the picturesque wilderness is quite an experience and a delight for the eye to see.

Our US Sojourns and Women’s Wilderness Retreats give you the opportunity to connect, explore and transform a little closer to home.

Why adventures for women?

We believe adventure travel especially with a  group of women are the ingredients needed to feed our souls. The inspirational stories shared between daily yoga classes, while hiking uphill or around a campfire, form the bond of our Sojourn Sisterhood.  Through shared experiences and challenges we build confidence, independence and even heal.

This is why we believe our women's wilderness retreats are a must!

Speaking from my personal experiences, I  believe that taking a trip solely with other women is essential for our personal growth, to truly relax and come home refreshed. Whether it be hiking a 14er (14,000 ft mountain!) in Colorado, yoga and meditation immersed in Montana's National Parks or surrounding wilderness, or snowshoeing in the Arctic, the growth we can achieve together is limitless.

You do not travel if you are afraid of the unknown, you travel for the unknown, that reveals you with yourself.

Why Montana and Colorado?

Christine, the founder of Lotus Sojourns grew up in a small town in Montana. She quickly began to realize her small town was a tourism destination that people would flock to seasonally. It was apparent visitors were not really investing in the community but more so taking in the beauty in a detached way. In Christine's opinion, the link of deeper connection was missing.

Something had to be done. Travel had to become more meaningful and provide opportunities for people to connect to places and people. It was important for Lotus Sojourns to help travelers focus on slowing down and be present in this beautiful place. Blending in wellness through a yoga retreat or women’s hiking retreat while immersed in a deep wilderness experience brings restorative energy to our USA Sojourns.

Lotus Sojourns is based out of Denver, CO and Christine will always be a Montana girl, with strong ties to the area. Both places have proven to be the ideal destinations to begin hosting our wilderness retreats for women.  We look forward to expanding to Alaska and Utah in the near future.
