Do you long to be WILD!

Nurturing our Inner Child

“Everything seemed possible, when I looked through the eyes of a child.

And every once in a while; I remember,

I still have the chance to be that wild.”

Nikki Rowe

When is the last time you felt wild and free?

For many of us, that moment is a distant memory buried somewhere in our childhood. But wildness doesn’t have to be reserved for those years when it was a little bit easier to live in the moment.

Rediscovering the child that still exists within us isn’t about shirking our responsibilities or pretending to be silly.

Loving our inner child is about accessing the joy of play.

When we play as adults, our minds snap to the present; we are more aware of our senses and the wholeness of our being.

Play allows us to have agency. We choose how to play. We choose where and when to have fun. We choose to let go of time itself and become fully present in joy.

Getting Wild through Women’s Travel

Why is agency so important to us as women?

If you ask Glennon Doyle, she might offer that women have a long history of being tamed, so much so that we are unable to even notice that our wild is missing from our lives.

The great becoming is upon us! Right now, we each have the choice to love our whole selves, top to bottom, inside and out.

Imagine: what would it be like to be as wild as you want to be? Being ourselves doesn’t need to come with consequences that act as anchors to our souls!

Travel is one of the tools that can create opportunity after opportunity to get wild.

We’re not in our normal element; we’ve left the responsibilities of everyday life at our doors. New experiences, sights, smells, tastes, and relationships all allow us to play. And when traveling responsibly and regeneratively, our host communities can also participate in the great becoming.

We’re cultivating a community in which women can be seen and heard.

There’s room for everyone, wherever you are in your journey.

In women-only travel groups led with compassion, equity, and mindfulness at the forefront, opportunities for connection and growth are ample and abundant.

Showing your SELF to the world

How do we go from beginning to access and nurture our inner child to all-out self-expression?

Practice!

For centuries, women have been gathering to share news, memories, stories, and medicine.

Gathering to go on an adventure? Gathering to dig into a story, written by a woman unleashed? The experience is no different.

In each realm, we can show up, willing and able to share our whole selves. Once we can do that in a small, safe environment, we can practice sharing ourselves with the world.

Whether you choose to travel through an international journey or dive into the pages of a transformational book, the way you choose to practice unleashing your wild is up to you.

At Lotus Sojourns, we are thrilled to offer beyond-the-bucket list travel experiences and conversations that are not only invigorating for your heart and soul but also regenerate the world along the way. Our women-only tours and virtual book club seamlessly weave adventure and growth into an experience that leaves you transformed.
