Costa Rica-based local Galit Flasterstein and her company, Local Keeps, is out to make that happen. In this conversation, Galit and Christine talk about the rising levels of entrepreneurship amongst women in Latin America, how re-purposed waste can become beautiful works of art, and impactful supporting local artisans is for women and communities.

Galit Flasterstein is the CEO and Co-Founder of Local Keeps, an organization that positively impacts both buyers and suppliers. Local Keeps find authentic products from faraway places and help artisans and entrepreneurs deliver their creations to the world.

A former travel agent, Galit is CEO and one of Local Keeps founders. Galit believes you can only experience a country when youΒ΄ve met itΒ΄s people and tasted their foods. As a travel agent, her most joyous moment was when clients complimented the countryΒ΄s people.

Women mentors have changed GalitΒ΄s life ever since her very first job, and her companyΒ΄s female suppliers are a continous inspiration in day to day life, for they provide jobs to other women and impact society, which is precisely what motivated Galit to have founded Local Keeps. She is believes alliances are key to reach oneΒ΄s goals, for they provide knowledge and discovery, as well as inspiration.
